Burt's Bees VS Chap Ice Beeswax Lip Balm!

Hello po! Frens, I remember a few years ago during a cold December month, I had terrible chapping on my lips. To remedy this, I tried so many kinds of lip balms - from those commercialized mainstream ones to organic newbies, but nothing seemed to work.

I really wondered what caused this since my lips were normally supple and not dry before. Over time, my lips improved but the edge around it was still peeling and raw. I got scared that it might darken leaving me looking like I had black lipliner on.

Burt's Bees beeswax lip balm review

Thankfully, I came across Burt's Bees beeswax lip balm. It healed my sore, dry lips! Sure it was more expensive than other brands, but it was worth it. I was hiyang to it. My aunt, not so much, she said that she was like sensitive to it. As for me, I loved it!

I use lip balms every night before going to bed to keep my lips pinkish and prevent them from drying out.

Then I encountered another beeswax balm, Oralabs Chap Ice beeswax lip balm and decided to buy it too!

Let's have a comparison between these 2 lip balms, Burt's Bees VS OraLabs Chap Ice!!!

Manufactured in USA for both.

Price wise: Chap Ice, at about Php 70 (comes in a pack of 2's so bale 35 each) wins, as compared to Burt's Bees tag at around Php 225. Both are 4.25 grams.

Efficacy: Chap Ice also moisturized my lips and kept it supple. However, I was not able to put it in a REAL test the way I had experienced with Burt's Bees.

Feel, scent, and color: Both are okay on the lips, not sticky, but Burt's Bees smells more minty. Burt's Bees is more translucent while Chap Ice is whiter.

Ingredients: There are similar ingredients but they are not exactly the same formulation.

100% Natural: Yes for Burt's Bees. Chap Ice has BHT.

For me, considering their respective qualities, I would choose Burt's Bees! Thanks for reading! :)

  1. Normal na sakin at sa anak ko ang chapped lips during summer and December to January. Yun Burts's Bees ang ipinagamit ko sa anak ko (napanalunan lang sa giveaway 😄) at very effective talaga sa kanya. Nun naubos yun Nivea Med yun ginamit nya. I'm currenty using HHN but i still want to try other brands.

    1. Hi +Jhake O. thanks for dropping by the blog!
