Salon Review: Mucota Treatment in Bangs Prime SM Megamall Branch!
Bes, sino kinikilig dito sa Oppa? Aminin! Well, we also admire the charming Korean hairstyles that are sure to catch his attention! So for us caught in the Hallyu (Korean wave), food, music, Koreanovela / drama series and movies, cosmetics, etc., the K- experience is not complete if you have not tried an authentic Korean hairstyle here in Bangs Prime by Tony & Jackey! What makes it the genuine deal is that your crowning glory is masterfully styled by hairdressers 'imported' from Korea!
I bet you are familiar with Bangs or Tony & Jackey. They are very active in "flyering" in malls. I have actually tried their digital perming services (the one with the appliance that holds the hair up) a few years back in their SM San Lazaro branch. The hairstyle I asked for is full bangs and curls starting at the middle as I liked watching New Girl Zooey Deschanel then, hehehe!
Bangs Prime salons are usually big, but the newer one here in Megamall (opened last December) is a bit "cute-sized". However, you can expect the same atmosphere, quality products and services, as the other branches.
Bangs Prime Salons are cool- they have free Wi-Fi, clean restrooms, Korean songs are playing and complimentary drink. Their people are polite too.

Bangs salons have 3 Korean hairstylists. Don't feel intimidated or shy as their goal is customer satisfaction.

Currently, 'Best Korean Hairstylist' Tony & Jackey group of salons, including Bangs Prime and T&J Professional, has 50 branches all over the Philippines. They started in 2001 with the first branch in Malate.
Bangs Prime is the upscale brand of Tony & Jackey featuring hairstylists they flew from Korea, while T&J Professional is the community brand, with more affordable prices and Academy-trained Filipino hairstylists.

One can avail Mucota's treatments in-salon, and can opt to take home the shampoo and conditioner (priced at Php 1,500 each).
Mucota, made in Japan, is popular among Japanese and Korean celebrities. Since they often style their hair, they use Mucota to repair dry and weak strands.
Mucota's nanotechnology treatment system neutralizes damaged hair, with blends of precious oils to transform unruly hair to flexible and hydrated hair.
Bangs has exciting promos monthly. The service they let bloggers try that day was hairstyle / cut and Mucota treatment.
Mucota Scena clinic consists of:
1. Ethos- if this shampoo bubbles then it means you hair is damaged (only the ends of my hair, the bleached part, did).
2. Adel- apply treatment then cover and steam for 10 minutes, then rinse.
3. and 4. Brava and Calore- applied simultaneously, let sit for a few seconds, then rinse, blow dry and style.
Before the procedure:
I don't know what possessed me- okay I admit, it's Ghost in the Shell anime marathon and my fave actress Scarlett Johansson starring in that- so I had a very strong desire to have my below shoulder hair chopped 2 weeks ago. Now, with such a recent change, I was left with a very short hair which would be hard to work on, and I wondered if they could still do anything. That is when I realized the dedication and how meticulous Bangs stylists are.
Result:
My hair looks shinier, light yet fluffy. You know, the kind of soft and airy yet full body kind we usually see in Korean and Japanese whimisical hairstyles.
Another good effect of Mucota is that my scalp do not feel itchy anymore when I do not wash it. Before this treatment, whenever I skip shampooing, I would feel the urge to scratch my head, but Mucota fixed this, making it feel clean and comfortable.
