Matrix Cosmetics Lip & Cheek Tint Review + Scammer Alert
Hello Frens! This is a review of Matrix Cosmetics in Peach Perfect and Hazel Brown! We know there is already a ton of lip and cheek tints in the market today. Find out what sets them apart!
Now be sure to read til the very end for an important warning! Even though she ran off with my money, I was still professional enough to honor the review we agreed on.
Details of Matrix Cosmetics
There are 5 shades available and I was sent Peach Perfect and Hazel Brown.
Price: Php 140
Made in: the Philippines
Ingredients: Stevia Extract, Olive Oil, Refined Glycerin, Shea Butter, FD&C Colorant.
Staying power: Medium to Long. (Depends on factors: How often or what you ate/drank, did you wipe, how many layers swiped, etc.)
Scent: Strawberry (no bitter aftertaste).
Moisturizing: Did not dry out or chap my lips.
Is it organic: No Eco-cert. It contains FD&C (which stands for Food, Drug and Cosmetics) colorant. Food color that is used in the United States is either "Artificial" (also referred to as "Certified Color" or "FD&C Color" ) or so called “Natural Color”. Note that technically, the FDA considers all color additives “artificial” whether they originate from natural sources or are synthetic.
*The peach is more pigmented and long lasting than the brown. Plus I personally prefer the former; I am not into browns.
This product is available in their stores in Batangas or in the online shop of facebook.com/tiksi.lensiii.
However...
The seller, Trixie Cusi, told me she will be sending the other shades for a complete review (the stocks just ran out prior). Since that will be the case, I asked that my order, Insta Shine and Calla lily Citronella candles be included then so shipping will be free. She agreed. So I paid her and remitted Php 270 thru Palawan.
Usually, when I buy online, the product arrives just the following day. This one had taken 3+ weeks plus the seller sometimes does not reply, I had to repeat, and she had not been updating.
Timeline:
October 11 2017, I ordered Insta Shine and Calla lily Citronella candles and she said she will be shipping probably Saturday, October 14. I paid and sent her the deposit slip on October 13 4:38 PM. As of this writing, November 11, the products have not arrived and I have not been contacted yet. Safe to say, it ain't gonna come.
You be the judge:
Actually, I did not want to post this anymore but I deem I have an obligation to warn others and write an HONEST experience. After all, trust, like money, is hard earned!
I feel especially sad since I was planning to use the candles for All Soul's Day. I am always open to communication and she can contact me if she wishes to express her side.
Will I recommend Matrix Cosmetics to others or buy again?
With my DISAPPOINTING experience, I don't think so. That's it, and thanks for reading!
***UPDATE NOVEMBER 14 2017:
We had a chat last November 4. She apologized and had a different explanation. If before, she blamed courier delay, now the new reasons were they changed into a new formula and that she was in the hospital for her uncle. She also asked if I can make a new review, and promised to send the order the NEXT DAY. It has been many months and it is now 2018, and still NOTHING!!! I really felt scammed! This is the first and only time btw.

Even after all the eating, there was color left in the middle part of bottom lip.

Left: Peach Perfect, Right: Hazel Brown. Top: 1 swipe, Bottom: 3 swipes.
Left: Water test and shot with flash. Right: Longevity test. The NEXT day there was still a peach color while the brown was gone.

Aaw. Sayang naman. Paano naman uunlad negosyo nila kung ganyan? Sinabayan pa nga ng order ng produkto nila. Na i promote din sana yun. Haaay....
