Why You Need to Visit Templo Modern Szechuan Fusion!
Nestled inside Dapitan 55 lot in Quezon City, across a carwash, is a quaint restaurant offering authentic Szechuan dishes, Templo Modern Szechuan Fusion. Walking distance from it is a real temple, the beautiful Avalokiteshvara Holy Temple.
AMBIANCE
The moment I stepped inside Templo, I felt like I was transported to a different place. The outside was literally designed like a temple. And inside, you will find an assortment of exquisite Chinese curio. There are bracelets, sword, fish figurine, herbs, god statues, etc.

Dining area
Opening September last year, Templo got its name due to the fact that the owner is from mainland China, plus in Sichuan there is a lot of temples.
Szechuan food is spicy. It actually brought to mind a Chinese movie, the Road Less Travelled (2010) starring Louis Koo. The female lead cooks with A LOT of chilies, but I can't remember which province she came from though.
FOOD
One can have the level of spiciness adjusted according to preference, for all the dishes.
There is 40% and 20% off promo on selected dim sum from 2 PM to 5 PM and 8 PM to 10 PM.
Appetizer and dimsum (full list is in the Menu book inside the resto):
Yin Yang fried rice- spinach sauce and sweet sauce with rice at the bottom.
Unique to Templo, Emperor's secret soup (5x more zinc than soup number 5), enhanced- more ginseng, herbs, etc. An aphrodisiac containing bull penis.
Mala smoked chicken - Chicken in Mala sauce. Mala means numbingly spicy!
Salted egg tempura - twist of spicy.. Even its sauce is yummy! My favorite!
Pork intestine in chili oil- crunchy, sarap papakin.
Szechuan signature sliced pork. They have a contest for this- Templo Spicy Szechuan Challenge. Win this meal. Has ice cream for ending. See facebook.com/TemploPH/ for details.
Golden squid ink hakaw.
Salted egg buns.
Both are so delicious!
Templo signature milk tea- red tea based.
House blend iced tea, they also produce Lick.
Youtube video, inside Templo:
Bestsellers are Szechuan cuisine and Salted egg shrimp tempura.
Ribs and steak house Red Baron and Tex-Mex hub Megawatt are their "sister restaurants".
They have free Wi-Fi, there is also comfort room (tho outside the resto), and if the charming items interest you, they are for sale.
Chinese music is played adding to the Sichuan experience.
Templo is open everyday from 10 AM to 11 PM.
I loved my experience here, like I was on vacay in a magical place. For authentic Sichuan food and exotic ambiance, visit Templo Modern Szechuan Fusion! Thanks for reading! :)
