Althea Korea's Exclusive Makeup Line - the Complete Details!!!
Hello po! Like an excited little kid, I could not contain my sheer joy upon opening the impressive Althea Korea Exclusive makeup box! I am sure for beauty enthusiasts, nothing quite compares to the ecstasy of a package of brand new makeup all for yourself, right?
This neat gift from Althea Korea includes 4 Flawless Creamy Concealers, 4 Watercolor Cream Tints, 2 Spotlight Eye Glitters, 1 Sunrise and Moonrise eyeshadow palette (collab with BCL) and they also sent a skin care,1 Skin Relief Spot Film Gel. I say it is almost enough for a full on makeup look (personally, I need mascara and brow product).

Althea Watercolor Cream Tints
My review:
- I like the packaging, clear rectangle plastic looks elegant
- Slanted doe foot applicator, short wand
- Very fragrant (fruity? I imagine watermelon)
- When I apply it on the cheeks, it doesn't dry out too quickly, giving me ample time to blend
- I usually like full lip, but for this, I prefer the gradient technique since this is very pigmented and little dots inside the lips goes a long way, I pat it going outside the lip
- Long wearing and can last me thru eating (depends on the shade and how oily the food was)
- Texture is more creamy and not all watery like other lip tints
- No bitter after taste. I even suppose it tastes delicious, or is it my imagination?
- Never chapped my lips, doesn't feel sticky or heavy
- My faves are the shades 3 and 4
Althea Skin Relief Spot Film Gel
My review:
- Forget those round acne patches! This allows you control to customize the size and shape
- This is like a sticky gel then dries to become film texture
- Comes in a hygienic tube that you can just squeeze the amount of product you like
- Unmistakable tea tree scent
- I have been having pimples lately and my, is this a God-send! As early as one day of soaking pimples AM and PM there was already results! Over time, it helped to dry out and flatten those zits
- Dries fast and I feel like it adheres better when a thick layer is applied
- For improved performance and adherence, apply directly to the problem area. Let its actives combat the acne, instead of applying it on top of all other serums and creams
- Application tip: Allow it to completely dry before applying makeup and apply carefully, don't rub above it otherwise it may peel off. Also, refrain from too much wacky facial expressions, hehe!
BCL x Althea Sunrise & Moonrise eye palette
My review:
- I loooove her choice of colors especially the reds and the glittery ones; light to dramatic
- The hottest and in colors can take you from day to night, from a no makeup makeup look to a party transformation
- Big pans
- Second pan (matte beige-brown) can be used for light nose line
- Good color payoff and easy to blend
- Good quality; soft and buttery, not chalky at all
Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter
My review:
- Eye glitter doesn't budge once dried
- No irritation and does not sting
- Love putting it on - the sparkles are so extra pretty!
- A breeze to apply!
- The sparkles and blings are constantly abundant
- I actually had an eye glitter liquid eyeliner before, more than 10 years ago, from a UK cosmetics company. Since I did not use makeup a lot then, I didn't know what to do with it! Glad that eye glitters are making a comeback now! I can use it all over lids or above the jet black liquid eyeliner on top lash line as accent, or on the bottom lash line for cute aegyo.

My review:
- Perfect timing since I have some really, really dark post acne scars. I apply thick then let it dry out for a bit then tap it in, then apply a second layer
- Natural looking, not cakey
- Light to medium coverage power
- I use the lightest to highlight and the darkest to contour
- Works wonders to brighten my dark undereyes
- I prefer this sponge like doe foot applicator rather than brush type which may streak. Also I find this more hygienic rather than concealers in a pot wherein you have to dip your fingers inside to get the product

- Comes in 4 shades #1 Plum (luxurious plum) #2 Strawberry (juicy red) #3 Peach (coral with pink undertone) #4 Marron (MLBB of brown and pink)
- Combines pigmentation of lipstick, long-wearing power of stain, moisturizing formula and pretty sheen of gloss
- Ingredients include squalene (conditions lips and improves its suppleness) and hyaluronic acid (humectant, attracts moisture to skin)

Dries transparent so it is not obvious. You can peel it off to remove it, or leave it be as it dissolves as you wash your face with cleanser.
