My Althea Korea Major New Year Haul

Hello po! This is my first haul from Althea Korea for the year 2019. I know, I know, I should have posted this about last month but y'know, life happens ;) Hehe! Well here we are now with the Kbeauty spill, besh!

HAUL 1

The Face Shop Jeju Volcanic Lava Pore Scrub Foam

It has a mild citrusy scent. It is loaded with granules that is why I prefer to apply it directly to the face as a scrub, but it can foam when lathered up in the palm. I still need to use toner with cotton afterwards to remove deep seated dirt.

W.Lab Jewelry Base Sapphire

It reminds me of the Unicorn serums Western beauty gurus use (at half the cost). I initially wanted the Gold variant but it was not available in the site so I got this instead, which anyway this blue is the one for oily skin. This is big and will prolly even last me a year since I also use other primers LOL.

Looking at the glass bottle, with silver cap and dropper, it is so beautiful with all the sparkly crystals of blue, green and white (but sometimes, when I pump this, only liquid comes out, no bling). However, when massaged into the skin, the blings burst and glitters are hardly noticeable. But it makes skin look dewy and moist, and application of makeup improves as it  glides.

I am not really sure if I like this because usually my skin is very hiyang with Kbeauty skin care, but it seems like every time I use this, one new bump will appear so I don't know if it irritates my skin, or maybe it's just coincidence.

COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch

It did not dry my pimples overnight. By the 3rd day (used AM then change to fresh one on PM), acne was still there but was smaller (flat). Results vary depending on type of blemish. Has good adhering power. Has 9 big, 5 medium, 10 small. Gel or cream solutions are more feasible for large areas since this is suited to cover spots.

Can you see it? It is only slightly noticeable on bare skin. I tried to pat cushion above the patch but it made it obvious as the makeup collected around its edges.

Prreti BlingGli Dia Purple Peel Off Mask

My, it has a lot of beneficial ingredients! The sparkles reminds me of galaxies that you put in your skin. As I applied it, I noticed that it has a subtle nail varnish scent.

This is one of the painful peel off masks as it really adheres to the skin. Ouchies as I remove it from the thin skin near the eyes and of course when it got to the hairline. At first my skin looks and feels really clean, fairer, matte, soft and smooth, but after a minute, it became really red and itchy. I guess my skin is too sensitive to tolerate this.

Pyunkang Yul Acne Toner
150ml, Php 610

I did not really want to open it yet since I have other toners that I got prior to this (remember the FIFO, first in, first out rule). But because my skin is acting up, I felt that I really need to try its power.

This is really mild, like I am just applying water. I feel like it also makes skin soft. Well so far, so good, it helps some pimples to heal faster. The bottle's contents is almost up, but I cannot say that it dries up or prevents pimples. Still need some spot treatments for them.

Neogen Wine works wonders for me so I am looking forward to trying this after I finish that.

Update: I'm half way! Using this on a daily basis, I feel like it exfoliates my face and helps keep complexion clear and smooth. Aids in preventing skin troubles. Also soaked with essence and leaves my skin wet after use. Whereas one side of Neogen is like a net, this one is like a soft cotton gauze front and back.

Chica Y Chico One Kill Eyeliner Black

I prefer liquid eyeliners than pencil liners. Sure, kohl or kajal is easier to use, but with liquids the payoff is more intense, crisper and sharper. The downside is, there have been many instances with different brands that when I open the liquid eyeliner for the first time, it is already dried up though I haven't even used it huhu...

This is one of the not-so-good ones I have used. At first, it was great, very black and easy to maneuver. I was able to use Chica Y Chico liquid brush pen twice in a span of two weeks, then it dried. I shook it and rubbed it on tissue to no avail. 

Then I placed the brush under running water for 3 minutes, replaced the cap, and stored it vertically with the tip down. After a few days I checked it. Voila, it worked! However, instead of one pointed tip, the brush now had three points, sort of like a fringe, making it tricky to use. Then, when I used it again, I found out the problem returned - it dried up once more, huhu...

I wore its plastic socks then poured the essence. This is not fragrant and it stings after a while. After I removed and rinsed it, my feet felt silky.
The skin on my feet started peeling off after 4 days...

HAUL 2

Etude House Happy with Piglet Jelly Mousse Blusher in OR202 Oink Oink Happy Piggy

I mean, who can even resist the cute charms of Piglet from Disney's Winnie the Pooh? It is a must have, whether collector or not!

When I finally used it after a few months since it arrived, I discovered the product is not that cushiony soft or jelly-like. To be able to take some amount of blush, my fingers need to exert much effort in rubbing the pan. Good pigmentation though, only two swipes is needed for the color to translate on my cheeks. The payoff gives a fresh and young vibe.

Yes I am a sucker for cute packaging and blings, as you may have noticed from the earlier BlingGli and Sapphire, LOL.

It was really love at first sight when I saw this back in Christmas. I did not get it then. Fortunately I waited, or else if I got this palette then, it was at regular price of Php 1150. But now, it became on bundle sale. It was now cheaper, the Lucent went down from Php 1150 to only Php 1110, plus there were 3 freebies~ the concealer, lip tint and eyeshadow! Daebak!

Rire Luxe Full Cover Concealer in Natural Beige

It seems a tad dark for my skin tone, but who knows! Haven't tried it yet since I am currently using Althea Flawless creamy concealer.

Update:
This does not color match my skin tone. I apply this to cover undereye darkness and pimple marks, using either the pads of my fingers or a fine brush . This is a hard cream type, and I prefer liquid. I appreciate that its ingredients include natural plant extracts.

Rire Luxe Volume Tint in Modern Brick

This is reddish, and I already have sooo many reds already, but since it came in a bundle, can't really choose the color (would have gotten pink if I can, since it suits me better). You can see its swatch HERE

I like that the wand is long and easy to maneuver. Plus the fibers in the sponge tip applicator kinda tickles my lips. The tone suits my complexion.

Rire Dual Metallic Eye Shadow 01

The first time I saw this type of stamping, super convenient, 1 swipe eyeshadow, was with the Sixteen Brand (which now I find there are so many fakes of that being sold very cheaply, about Php 55 only. So we should always buy from reputable sellers like Althea. Eye area is sensitive and counterfeit products can do a lot of harm to our health). Excited to see how this will fare.

Update:
The enclosed brush works fine but I ditched it for a separate eyeshadow brush. It seems like brown on lids and coral on crease  makes me look older. So to be able to apply the opposite (brown on crease and coral on lids), a proper eyeshadow brush is needed rather than this small stamp type.
