Ms. Earth Philippines 2017 Beauties Amaze Yoshinoya Glorietta Customers!
Hello po! Frens, I was so happy to be invited to cover the store visit of Miss Earth Philippines 2017 in Yoshinoya Glorietta 1, Makati!
Yoshinoya, as can clearly be seen in their signage is a Japanese Restaurant with more than a century of heritage! It's the largest chain of gyudon (beef bowl) restaurants with current headquarters in Kita, Tokyo. Oh, I love their tempura, green tea ice cream and sukiyaki!
The origin of the name Yoshinoya is believed to be derived from where the founder came from, the former town of Yoshino in Osaka. In Japanese, the kanji yoshi means old, no means field and ya means house.
The logo of Yoshinoya was invented by its founder, and it means Yoshinoya sells the best beef bowls! "Y" is a bull horn, also the brand's first letter. The rope of 27 rice grains actually represents the Yokozuna (winner) ranking in Japanese sumo-wrestling, symbolic of Yoshinoya's Yokozuna quality of food.
Here is Yoshinoya's historic timeline:
Here are our yummy food for the evening:
Kani Salad (Php 69)- perfect for those on diet hihihi! It has lettuce, Japanese dressing, cucumber, carrots, mango, seaweeds, fish roe (tobiko). This was served to the Ms. Earth Philippines candidates.
My request, califonia maki- my love! Because a visit to a Japanese food house ain't complete without this. At least that's what I stand by. At Php 59.
The good for sharing Jumbo Plate C, Beef and Tempura, Php 239.
After a while, we were served a second round of food! Hello, tummy, kaya mo pa ba? XD
Yoshinoya's steaming bowl of beef ramen. Perfect sa tag-ulan! Php 159.
Yoshinoya's new Big Chicken comes at Php 145, with steamed rice and free red iced tea.
It is like a large fillet (or do they call it butterfly) of crispy chicken. I also like the gravy.
Finally, the girls arrived. This is the batch of Ms. Earth Philippines store visit to Yoshinoya Glorietta... They are among the 40 contestants for this year.
They paraded carrying a delicate Japanese paper umbrella, then they introduced themselves one by one. Afterwards, they entertained guests with their dance number. I really like the Ms. Earth song - I am woman of the Earth! Spreading love and, joy, fun and laughter... woman of the Earth!!!
Lifestyle and food blogger, the media, chose our bets. Votes were tallied and emerging as the Top 3 are: Ms. Ozamiz, Ms. Villanueva, Misamis Oriental, and Ms. Makati! They won Yoshinoya GC's! Please click here for SM North batch winners.
Hay naku me sumingit sa picture, dapat sana kunwari candidate din ako eh, tsk! Joke! Bloggers surrounded by the much taller and younger, op kors, Ms. Earth Philippines beauties from Masbate City, Mandaluyong City, Ozamiz City, Makati City, New Zealand, Camiling, Tarlac, Lobo, Batangas, El Salvador City, and Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.
