My Blush, Contour and Highlight Collection

Hello po! I love colors! Frens, I think they make my mood happy. So here are some of the blush, must-have contours and blinding highlight in my possession.

Makeup is a tool that can give you the power of illusion (especially in special effects makeup or transformation / copying famous people's faces), or enhance your natural beauty! Its magic can help slim down or hide some disfigurement, bringing confidence! And they are really fun to play with and express artistic freedom.

I think blush on is needed to make one's face appear more radiant, cuter (or more tisay) and healthier. There are so many blush colors now - pink, red, coral, orange, lavender, etc. Some people use lipsticks as blushes.

When I was younger, due to my acne (and hence, scars and pores problem), I avoided it! It was only later in life that I had the joy of using it.

As for highlight and contour, it is important especially for a round faced gal like me to have a more chiseled look. After applying foundation and powder, the face just looks matte and flat so putting back the light and shade/shadow is a necessity!

Shading enables us with different shaped faces (oblong, round, square, heart, triangle, diamond), to have the illusion of the balanced ideal shape, which is oval. While strobing is used to highlight the attractive features of your face, like the eyes.

Blush, contour and highlight brings out the highs and lows of the facial structure. It gives a multi-dimensional effect to an otherwise plane! Brings back depth, definition, warmth, brightness, height and glow, teh! Basta, they are necessary!

Also, to make rouged cheeks last longer, I apply 2 layers- cream blush / stain then powder blush on top. Tested ko na yang technique, I do not need to touch up the whole day!

For example, you got some stuff like concealer, compact, or what have you  that are not your exact shade, that is okay, they are still useful. Money is not wasted. I consider powders and creams that are two shades lighter as highlighters and two shades darker as contouring. So it is not strictly the term bronzer or highlighter should matter. Hey, even brown cushions or powders are labeled as blush! Lip and cheek clays are also used for the eyes!

Share ko lang, I remember years back, I was just walking in the mall, then I saw in the atrium there was an event, and the host was asking some beauty questions. Couple of girls gave wrong answers. I  was shy to participate because I was not really an attendant, 'di ko nasimulan. I was just a passerby who stopped and stood at the back. I had the right answer pala which was "highlight and contour," sayang ang prize, haha!
