Day Spa by Marvie Perez- A Secret Beauty Haven in Tondo
Hello po! People in Tondo need not look far and wide for a skin care clinic/spa that has a classy feel but without the exorbitant price tag! Day Spa by Marvie Perez is a not so secret destination- having been serving NUMEROUS loyal patrons- both nearby residents and those from provinces who travel here to get their beautification needs done!
For the unacquainted (such as myself before visiting here a few weeks ago), Marvie who?
Marvie Perez is no stranger to the industry. She is an aesthetician, professional makeup artist and licensed therapist! She has been in the beauty business for more than 10 years!
This is a one-stop shop as this spacious facility offers-
On the 1st floor- salon services including hair and makeup,
and the secluded lounge offers nails services like mani, pedi, foot spa. Mind you, they offer lots of branded nail polish, including Orly, OPI, Cuccio, and their gel polish is for just Php 350.
On the 2nd floor it's all about skin!
And the third floor is massage area!
I tried their whitening facial. Steps: cleaning (with scrub and massage), steam, vacuum, extraction (pricking) and I have to say it was not traumatizing as the skin technician's hand was light, whitening mask peel off (for sensitive skin like mine, paste that was sponged off was used), alternate warm then cool towel, laser.
There are 8 massage rooms, couple rooms also available.
I also enjoyed a massage that day. I changed into the shorts provided in the room and lied down. The combination Swedish-Shiatsu massage with hot stone was blissful and rejuvenating. White tea scented oil was used. Their therapist was courteous.
Happy that the hot stones were not rubbed down my back immediately. It was placed in between towels and was allowed to "warm up" my back first so I can adjust- no nasty shock!

Sometimes, when we encounter a cheap-priced neighborhood spa, we tend to be suspicious of the quality of service and the hygiene, so I asked the owner about this. My fears subsided as she assured that:
1. The towel and sheets for massage is 1 is to 1. Meaning, they change it for every guest.
2. The tools for the mani/pedi are sanitized.

When I was around St. Joseph, Gagalangin, I visited Skin 360 for underarm waxing and I paid only Php 99 (plus tip, of course)! Most neighborhood spas are priced at Php 200. Their skin care services are surprisingly affordable.
I found out that the Skin 360 here in St. Joseph used to be the Day Spa by Marvie Perez in Pajo, Caloocan. They just transferred!
Marvie Perez Day Spa also offers SPArties. You have the place all for you and your friends for the ultimate bonding! No worries about food catering as it is also included in the package!
They also have surgical procedures like rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, etc., but it is done in their partner doctor's clinic.

The greens and bamboos evoke a feeling of zen, back to nature. Waiting and tea area.

During and after! Usually, after a facial, my face has some red patches as it is sensitive. It is quite embarrassing as it looks like a tomato. But here in Day Spa, I love that after the facial, my face just looked really clean and white!
