EMBOA Gives Back- A Christmas Program and Hotel Tour
Hello po! I am very excited to be included in the Manila Tour and Maligayang Pasko, Handog Pasasalamat Event by EMBOA and the City Government of Manila, because I am a Manilena! Born and raised in Tondo, babehhh!!!
Last December 17, 2015, in Remedios Circle, EMBOA staged a Gift Giving, Christmas Carol for 500 underprivileged youth of 16 local barangays.
EMBOA stands for Ermita-Malate Business Owners Association. They aim to make Ermita, Malate as a historical, safe and fun tourist spot/attraction in the Philippines.
Here are the VIPs watching the EMBOA Handog Pasasalamat program. President-Mayor Joseph "Erap" Estrada is flanked by, to his right, Flordeliza Villasenor- Chief Tourism Officer of the Manila Tourism and Cultural Affairs Bureau, and to his left, Michelle Pe- Miramar Hotel Owner.
Juliet Villegas, Executive Director of EMBOA, had a chat with us bloggers. She is seen here with Michelle Pe, President of EMBOA. EMBOA plans on more activities, projects and drives for next year to bring back the liveliness and beauty of Ermita, Malate.
This event shows that EMBOA not only cares for the progress and development of the vicinity, but also hopes to bring a message of joy, love, happiness and peace to the less fortunate.
The group I was included in, aboard Van 1, toured in three hotels.
First up.
Miramar Hotel, situated in 1034-1036 Roxas Blvd. cor UN Ave., Ermita, Manila.
Miramar Hotel is the only art deco theme hotel in the heart of Metro Manila.
This Art Deco Hotel built in the 1930's is one of Manila's remaining architectural treasures.
We were toured in the massage or serenity spa, bedrooms and bathrooms of Miramar Hotel. The hotel has 5 floors.
Guestrooms, double or twin, are classified into De Luxe, Superior Deluxe, and Suite (Junior or Presidential).
Each of the 40 rooms opens up to an atrium that bathes the hotel in golden sunlight in daytime (this image was captured with camera flash at night), with some of the rooms enjoying a view of the famed Manila Bay.
Second Stop.
Hotel Kimberly Manila with address in 770 Pedro Gil, Malate. They also have Hotel Kimberly in Tagaytay.
This hotel is clean and modern, staff are warm and efficient, and boasts of exceptional value for money rates.
Hotel Kimberly has 58 spacious guestrooms- Superior (single/twin), Deluxe (single/twin or family), Premiere Family Suite and Executive Suites. The hotel has 10 floors.
Kitchenette and living area in the suite.
Manila Manor Hotel located in 1660 Jorge Bocobo St. (between Pedro Gil and Malvar), Malate. The Standard Hotel with a Heart.
We only had a glimpse of Manila Manor Hotel reception.
Thanks for reading! Guys, let's support our local tourism by patronizing establishments like restaurants and hotels. Along with EMBOA, let's bring back the glory of Ermita-Malate, Manila! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
