My 3rd Q-Switched Laser Session at Substance Laser and Skin Care
Hello po! Besh, here is a review of my third session of Holy Grail Laser (aka Q-Switch Laser Toning Treatment) at Substance Laser and Skin Care.

So I had to text and set an appointment first, then proceeded to their clinic located at the third floor.
I was called in and the facialist cleansed my face.
Next, Substance Laser and Skin Care in-house dermatologist came in and did the laser proper.
It is nice that I can ask her, since the doctor, who is a member of the PDS or Philippine Dermatological Society, is the best qualified to answer my skin concerns.
Since I believe in honesty in my blogs, let me share with you, my dear readers, some of my concerns, and tips we talked about:
Afterwards:
I noticed that my skin looks milky and glowing and the blackheads were gone.
The doctor remarked that the pigmentation on my skin (especially cheek area) has improved greatly. She also said there were less popping/ crackling sounds unlike my earlier sessions when the sounds were louder.
Even the laser skin tech remarked my skin looks good, iba talaga pag kakalaser.

Technical description of the Spectra laser toning:
treatment using the 1064 mm wavelength in Q-Switched mode (5-10 ns) without carbon lotion for melasma, pigmentation and intractable scars.

Since I believe in honesty in my blogs, let me share with you, my dear readers, some of my concerns, and tips we talked about:
- For very deep wrinkles - botox
- For very deep pockmarks, pitted scars or icepick scars (I had those from my teen acne) - need resurfacing with co2 laser which is ablative (magtatago ka muna besh, may downtime ito). While if you use 100 % tca to address that, it will also leave marks. So then to finally make it smooth again, you can use this Holy Grail laser to erase the marks that were the result of those prior procedures.
- Holy grail is a pigmentation laser and deep laser which remodels skin. From lasagna like texture underneath, it becomes like a bond paper to improve fine lines...
- Duration of laser is not necessarily 15 minutes. The derma assesses the needed time, and number of shots, usually 3k, and it will depend on the patient's skin.
- Capillaries on the face are due to female hormones. And for the visible, broken capillaries, there is vascular laser to correct that.
- Yes, besh, you can use make up the following day after you had your Holy Grail laser!

Dr. Mendoza is a deadringer for teen queen Kathryn Bernardo, lalo sa personal! And she gets that comment quite often hehe!
Even the laser skin tech remarked my skin looks good, iba talaga pag kakalaser.
The staff were nice, making you feel at home in the clinic.
