A Thrilling Night at VC Malate trying to Breakout!
Hello po! If by chance you have been reading my blog (and I thank you for it) you would know I love horror movies, books, rides, eventhough I am a big scaredy cat so I don't know why I enjoy them.
Please allow me to share with you my Breakout Philippines experience last November 7, 2015 in Victoria Court Malate, 2184 Madre Ignacia St. corner Quirino Ave., Malate, Philippines (near Manila Zoo). I chose the Casino Royale 'Can you survive the 007 room?' 7 PM slot.
The rules and mechanics. Safe word was "I want my Mommy!"
There was an eerie atmosphere.
The #VPARTYSERIES was a one day event from 9 AM to 3 AM (yes, wee hours of the morning). I was fortunate to have picked an evening schedule, because there would be free film showing and snacks from 6 PM onwards! Yehey!!!
Overflowing food and drinks.
There was a Victoria Court table that we visited. Simply like their FB page and win prizes (I was too excited that I forgot to take a picture)!
My experience, I'll not divulge too much so as not to spoil anything.
When our time came, we were first briefed and then blindfolded until we entered the room. I have to say that the actors were effective in their roles, and yes, we got shouted at a few times. I was really scared but I would try to laugh as much as possible just to ease the tense and fear I felt. What heightened the fright was the music or sounds. The clues we got were really difficult to solve. In the end, we were told that it was a trap room we got in, but we emerged as winners!
After our game, we chilled and did not leave immediately, and I got to play with Troy Montero for a few minutes in the Bat Cave (as a guest only, because he was teammates with another)! I saw in their IG that Aubrey Miles will be there but I did not see her. There were times when some scare actors would go out and call on people watching the film. A tip is to come with them, you would like what they will give to you!
Last Blogapalooza, I was lucky to win a pass for 6 persons from Outbreak Manila for this #VPARTYSERIES so I shared the blessing thru a Facebook contest on my Facebook page (click HERE if you haven't liked my FB page).
There were 4 winners. I was happy to meet the participants, Gabby and Marialyn! It was already 7:30 but the other winner and her plus one had not yet arrived (eventhough I had repeated to her to come at 6:30 PM). She used the legendary palusot "traffic kasi." The rate for 6 persons is Php 500 per head so this nice opportunity for 2 other people who could have enjoyed was nasayang lang!
I really enjoyed this night!
