Samsung Asian Dishes Cooking Workshop at the GalaStars
Hello po!!!
Last September 30, 2015, I attended the Samsung Digital Appliances 7th Cooking Workshop themed "Asian Inspired Dishes for the Family Food Trip" in GalaStars Culinary School in Pasig.
I was looking forward to attend because my cooking skills is very amateur and I was hoping to learn some tips and tricks.
Here is Top Chef Ernest Gala teaching us. I am very scared of the talsik (oil splattering) when frying. Glad to know that what I always do, which is turning off the fire when I need to turn the food while the oil is splattering, is a correct way! I always thought that it was wrong and that I should have done something beforehand like ensuring the correct temperature of the oil or ingredient before cooking.
Good thing the ingredients were already prepared. I find measuring, cutting and slicing as such a tedious task.
The recipe for Singaporean Baked Prawns with Glass Noodles (Sotanghon) and
Thai Chicken on a Bed of Spinach with Peanut Sauce.

The Singaporean Baked Prawns with Glass Noodles (Sotanghon) is very tasty and well it was my favorite of the two coz I love prawns hehe!
Thai Chicken on a Bed of Spinach with Peanut Sauce was delicious as well! The vegetables is at the bottom covered in the rich sauce.

| We live up North, quite far from Pasig. And you know what happens to a dish with coconut milk plus long travel time! :'( |
Yes, we still had lunch after all those cooking and eating upstairs. Can you say busog much?
